We prayed the last isha in the building of Muhajireen. Then after brothers had gotten together to take it apart to be ready for being demolished. We have started a long road to build a new masjid inshAllah. It saddens members of the community that we are demolishing a precious site in our lives. This is where majority of the people my age today and a bit older came to read their first Quran. This is the headquarters for new people who come to the Bay Area to meet new friendly faces. This building has held so many salahtul jumahs and taraweeh lead by Qari Safiullah Samady and Hafiz Mohibullah Samady. May Allah help us in building the new masjid to make even more memories with the next generation inshallah. Keep making dua for us to complete this big dream of ours that has been in our hearts for years now. We are at the point of not being able to go back. Only forward. Jazakullah ul’khair. Below are some pictures taken. First is from the last jumah. The rest is from Sunday night.
Donate to the new project, which will insha'Allah provide a new prayer area for 460 worshippers, a community center for group and social activities, conferences, regular halaqas, a conference space, a Sunday school and more. Donate
Assalamu Alaykum Respected and Fellow Community Brothers and Sisters,
We pray this message finds you in the best of states, Insha Allah.
Within the past few years Masjid Muhajireen has been planning for a new Masjid building. This has been a diligent process, working with engineers and the City of Hayward in coming up with the best and safest facility for our community. By the Mercy of Allah, our project was recently approved by the City Council and we have received full permission to begin construction.
Many of us havebeen attending Muhajireen Masjid and some of us since our childhood and teenage years. This Masjid has been apart of our lives from Quranic learning classes, to weekly Friday Prayers, Ramadan Taraweeh's, to the birth of a passionate and spiritual program with the Hayward Halaqah, this Masjid has been a place for many of our fond memories.
The next steps for our future is on us. It is on us on to find out how we can have apart in the next phase and our next generation while continuing to preserve and better our present.
We will be having a fundraising dinner to detail the next steps we can take in extending our help and be apart of this great and rewarding project. We will be providing information for the new facility and much more! Insha Allah.
Please join us this Friday Night for this special event and help us in spreading the word to others!
