With the change in Daylight Savings Times, we now begin the March-November schedule for Jum’ah prayers. The Friday Khutbu (Islamic sermon) will now begin at 1 p.m. and the first first adthan will be at 1:30 pm then we will pray in congregation a 2 pm.
The Jum’ah service begins with a sermon in Dari or English, then a call to prayer (Azaan), individual customary prayers (Sunnah prayers), community announcements in Dari, a sermon in Arabic (Khutbah), and ending in two cycles (rakahs) of obligatory (Fard) prayer in congregation. The services are officiated by our resident spiritual leader, Qari Safiullah Samady. The Islamic bayaan sermon is in Farsi except on the first Friday of each month when the Khutbah is in English.
There are three interfaith/Introducing Islam events in March. Please share with your friends, coworkers and neighbors of other faiths and nonfaiths.

On Thursday, November 17, 2016, representatives from Hayward's five mosques met with Hayward Mayor Barbara Halliday and David Korth, Assistant to Hayward City Manager Kelly McAdoo. The meeting was an important step to cement a positive working relationship between city and religious leaders, inform city officials about the services provided by the five mosques, and to assuage post-election jitters.
